So as many of you know Carrie and I, with four of our FYM friends, are trying to plant a “house church” in our neighborhood.
  Let me take a minute and catch you up to speed on how that has been going the last couple of months.
  In all we have had five attempts at having “church” in 2007.
  Our first meeting was a great success.
  We had eight adults come and their seven children.
  They got the opportunity to sing praises to God, hear a message about the love of Christ, and receive prayer.
  It was a great start to the year.
  The next week we had fifteen people come, all under the age of 12.
  It was very interesting.
  Instead of the adults coming to “church” they decided to send their children, all dressed up.
  It was a great “church.”
  Kids got loved on and were able to hear about the love of Jesus.
  The next two weeks nobody showed.
  So we come to our fifth attempt at a meeting, this past Thursday.
  We start “church” at 7:00 pm and it got to be 7:30, so we decided to take the meeting “to the streets.”
  We sang praises to God, heard a message from His Word, and prayed for each other with ten children and three adults.

So, needless to say this particular ministry has not gone exactly as planned, but then again ‘man can make plans, but the Lord directs his steps.’
  So anyways, we ask for your prayers with the process of planting a “home church” in our neighborhood, Francisco

  Pray that we would have wisdom on where to go next in this process.
  Pray that we would be sensitive to the culture and God would lead us in the changes that need to be made.
 

Praise God for what He has done so far.
  People have heard the message of Jesus Christ.
  God has given us a goal of planting a self-sustaining, Dominican-lead church in this area.
  Pray that His purposes would come to pass, His name would be spread, and that He would be glorified.
